Other programs are simply a continuation of a specialized therapeutic intervention.

Each of these programs are self-pay.

Parkinson's Disease

Braintree Rehabilitation Hospital is partnering with the Center for Neurorehabilitation at Boston University, Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences to offer a Wellness Program for people with Parkinson's disease. Expanding our continuum of care within the community supports our commitment to excellence and optimal patient outcomes.

Currently this is a 7 week program, twice a week, for a total of 14 individual classes. Each individual class will last 1.5 hours and will consist of group exercises to improve mobility and communication and practice of functional activities such as walking, rising from a chair and handwriting. In addition, a group discussion will be included which focuses on solving common problems experienced by individuals with Parkinson's disease. At each discussion group, we will introduce a new topic and work together to develop strategies to manage a particular problem and improve function and quality of life. Instruction will be tailored to meet the needs of each individual with Parkinson's disease. Written information and pictures are included in this manual to help participants learn the exercises and strategies and apply them at home and in the community. We are looking forward to getting started and guiding you through the program.
