Total Joint Center

Braintree's Fast Track Program provides a continuum of inpatient and outpatient care designed specifically for individuals who have had joint replacement surgery. The Program encourages physicians and patients to begin the referral process prior to surgery; this may include a patient/family tour, pre-op teaching, and a meeting with the Center's clinical treatment team.

Goals

To maximize recovery, patients are generally admitted to our inpatient Orthopedic Rehabilitation Program on post-op day three. Treatment starts on day one. For patients able to tolerate this aggressive, intensive program, successful outcomes are generally achieved in five to seven days. Patients are then referred for outpatient services.

Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation focuses on improving:

  • Mobility
  • Balance
  • Strength
  • Range of Motion
  • Gait
  • Activities of Daily Living

  • Medical Management
  • Physical and Occupational Therapy
