Aquatics Rehabilitation Program
Many conditions not easily treated by land-based exercise alone, respond dramatically to a combination that includes aquatic therapy. Water therapy is a gentle, non-invasive treatment combining exercise physiology and aquatics.
Specially trained physical and occupational therapists use the heated pool as an adjunct to traditional land based therapy. The buoyancy of the water allows patients to exercise with less stress to their joints. Patients with a variety of problems can benefit from pool therapy.
Following aquatic therapy, patients are encouraged to participate in our Aquatic Exercise Program as a way to maintain strength and fitness as well as access to a therapeutic pool environment. Click here for more details.
