Wheelchair Seating

To provide for a comprehensive interdisciplinary assessment of a client's wheelchair, positioning, and mobility needs. Proper positioning equipment or wheelchair adaptation may be recommended. All of the following areas are addressed to ensure an optimal recommendation to the physician or insurer.

• Diagnosis
• Home environment
• Activities of daily living (incl. transportation, vocation)
• Medical and physical status
• Cognitive/perceptual status
• Hours spent in wheelchair
• Range of motion and strength
• Skin - integrity and sensation
• Transportation (method & level of independence)
• Ability to perform pressure relief
• Mobility status
• Sitting posture
• Current equipment (age and condition)
• Method of transporting mobility device and need for modification
• Other accessories (oxygen, ventilator, communication system, computer, or access switches)

We will provide a comprehensive assessment to the referring physician and to the insurer in order to facilitate the wheelchair production, adaptation and / or equipment needs.
